Flexible ureteral access sheaths are intended to establish a working channel through the ureter during ureterorenoscopy (fURS/RIRS). They allow repeated passage of flexible ureteroscopes and ancillary instruments (laser fibers, graspers, baskets) while protecting the ureteral wall, maintaining irrigation flow, and reducing intrarenal pressure. The deflectable tip improves access to the lower pole and other hard-to-reach calyces.
